微软11日，对Microsoft Update和Windows Update 造成CPU使用率过高的问题，公开了技术信息。微软作为应对措施，发布了“更新程序KB927891”和“Windows Update Agent 3.0”。

　　这个问题是发生在Windows XP及Windows Server 2003运行Microsoft Update 或 Windows Update的时候，错误号:0x8DDD0009是表示更新失败，CPU处于高使用率状态是由于更新长时间不能完成所发生的现象。

　　微软对这个问题采取了回避策略，发布了更新程序KB927891和Windows Update Agent 3.0。对于Windows 2000的情况，决定只更新Windows Update Agent 3.0。

　　同时，关于Windows 2000，由于更新用的基础设施方面的问题，不留神发生了过去的更新程序被要求安装的现象,不过，据说微软已经解决了这个问题。
